Pitch Access & Security

Control the Doorway to your Deal.

A Deal Room contains sensitive pricing, proprietary strategy, and competitive intel. You don’t just “send a link”—you manage Access. This section explains how to share your pitch while maintaining absolute control over who sees it and for how long.

A. Generating the Link (The Keys)

One Link. Infinite Updates.

When you hit “Publish” or “Share,” Revspire generates a unique URL for that specific Deal Room.

  • The Single Source of Truth: Unlike an email attachment, this link is “live.” If you update a file inside the room tomorrow, the link stays the same. The prospect always sees the latest version.
  • Customizing the URL: (If enabled) You can edit the tail of the link to look professional (e.g., revspire.io/pitch/acme-proposal instead of random characters).

B. Security Levels (The Gatekeeper)

Define who gets in.

You can set different layers of security depending on the sensitivity of the deal.

1. Public Link (Low Security)

  • How it works: Anyone with the URL can view the room.
  • Best for: Top-of-funnel marketing assets, “About Us” decks, or viral content intended for wide sharing.
  • Risk: If the prospect forwards the email, anyone can click it.

2. Email Gated (Medium Security – Recommended)

  • How it works: The viewer must enter their email address to access the room.
  • Best for: Most standard sales deals.
  • Why use it: It acts as a Lead Capture. You know exactly who viewed it (e.g., “finance@prospect.com” viewed your pricing), even if the original contact forwarded the link to a colleague.

3. Password Protected (High Security)

  • How it works: The viewer must enter a specific alphanumeric code you provide.
  • Best for: Pricing proposals, contracts, or highly confidential IP.
  • Why use it: It adds a layer of friction but ensures that accidental clicks (or competitors) cannot see your numbers.

4. Domain Restriction (Maximum Security)

  • How it works: Only email addresses ending in a specific domain (e.g., @acmecorp.com) can enter.
  • Best for: Enterprise deals with strict compliance needs.
  • Why use it: It creates an exclusive environment. Even if the link leaks to a competitor, they cannot open it because they don’t have the right company email.

C. Expiry Management (Creating Urgency)

The “Self-Destruct” Timer.

Sales is about momentum. An open-ended link can kill urgency.

  • Set Expiration Date: Configure the link to expire after a specific time (e.g., “Valid for 7 days” or “Expires on End of Quarter”).
  • The Psychology: When a prospect sees “Link Expires in 48 Hours,” they are more likely to view it now rather than bookmarking it for later.
  • Revoking Access: If a negotiation fails or a rep leaves the company, you can manually expire the link instantly, cutting off all external access.

D. The Buyer View (Recipient Experience)

What they see.

It is crucial to understand what your customer experiences.

  • Mobile Responsive: The Deal Room automatically adjusts to phone or tablet screens, so they can view your proposal on the go.
  • No Login Required: (Unless configured) They do not need to create a Revspire account. We remove friction so they can get straight to the content.
  • Download Permissions: You decide if they can Download the PDF to their desktop or only View it in the browser. (Keep it to “View Only” if you want to track analytics!).
