Version Control

Version Control allows you to update sales collateral without breaking the links sent to customers. When you upload a new version (e.g., “Pricing v2”), all active Deal Rooms can be updated to show the new file automatically.

Features

  • Version History: View a timeline of all previous versions (v1.0, v1.1).
  • Push Updates: “Push” the latest version to active Pitches and Streams.
  • Revert: Roll back to a previous version if a mistake was made.
  • Preview: Visual preview of historical versions side-by-side.

Purpose

To ensure that sales reps and prospects always see the most up-to-date information without manually updating dozens of active deal rooms.

Permissions

Version control actions are governed by:

Edit Content: Required to Upload New Version, Push Updates, and Revert versions.

View All Content / View Content: Required to view the history list.

Steps

Uploading a New Version

  • Select a file and click the Versions button.
  • Click + Upload New Version.
  • Select the source (Local, Drive, etc.) and pick the new file.
  • The file is uploaded as the “Latest” version.

Pushing Updates

  • In the Version History list, click the Arrow Icon (Push) next to the latest version.
  • Select where to apply the update:
  • Pitches: Updates the file in standard Deal Rooms.
  • Streams: Updates the file in Video Pitch Streams.
  • Both: Updates everywhere.
  • A confirmation toast will display how many records were updated.

Reverting a Version

  • Locate an older version in the list.
  • Click the Rotate Icon (Revert).
  • Confirm the action. This older file is duplicated and becomes the “Latest” version.

Limitation and Notes

  • Processing: Uploading a new version does not automatically update pitches unless you manually click the Push action.
  • Single File: Version control must be managed one file at a time.
